This page covers use of this website and gives a plain-language overview of how we sell. Any product you actually buy is governed by our Online Terms and Conditions of Sale, which you accept at checkout. Products are research prototypes
Fluid Reality dev kits and actuators are research prototypes. They are not CE or UL certified and are sold for research, development, and evaluation use, not for safety-critical, medical, or consumer applications. Actuator lifetime is up to 1,000,000 cycles and depends on your driving profile.
Orders, shipping, and returns
Prices are charged plus applicable sales tax; shipping is selected and charged at checkout (US, or international express). We ship to the countries offered at checkout; international orders ship express (DHL/FedEx) under DAP terms. Import duties and local taxes, where applicable, are the recipient's responsibility. Hardware problems? Write sales@fluidreality.com. We replace liberally and learn from every failure.
Software and documentation
The Python SDK and documentation are provided to support your hardware. Open-source components carry their own licenses. Documentation access accompanies kit purchase.
Intellectual property
Buying hardware conveys no license to Fluid Reality patents or other intellectual property beyond the right to use the product you bought. Fluid Reality and the Fluid Reality mark are trademarks of Fluid Reality, Inc.
Limitation of liability
Products are provided as-is to the fullest extent permitted by law. Our total liability for any claim related to a product is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Governing law
These website terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, and disputes about this site belong to the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois. Note that purchases are different: the Online Terms and Conditions of Sale you accept at checkout select Delaware law and Delaware courts, and those terms control for anything concerning a product you bought.
